WASHINGTONFIRST BANK PRIVACY POLICY
At WashingtonFirst Bank, our mission is to provide financial services to our customers in a person-to-person banking relationship.
As banking professionals entrusted with sensitive financial information, we respect the privacy of our customers and are committed
to treating client information responsibly. Our Customer Information Privacy Principles serve as standards for all WashingtonFirst
Bank employees for collection, use, retention, and security of individual customer information.

- Principle #1: We recognize our customers’ right to privacy at WashingtonFirst Bank; we recognize that our customers
have the right to expect their personal financial information to remain private and secure. We will maintain standards to ensure
that our customers’ and former customers’ information is private and secure at all times.
- Principle #2: We collect, retain, and use information about our customers only where we reasonably believe that it
will help administer our business or provide products, services, and other opportunities to our customers. We may collect
”nonpublic personal information” about you from the following sources: (1) information we receive from you on applications or other
loan and account forms; (2) information about your transactions with us or others; and (3) information we receive from third parties
such as credit bureaus. “Nonpublic personal information” is nonpublic information about you that we obtain in connection with
providing a financial product or service to you. For example, nonpublic personal information includes information regarding your
account balance, payment history, and overdraft history. We use this information to protect and administer customer records, accounts
and funds; to comply with certain laws and regulations, to help us design or improve our products and services; and to understand our
customers’ financial needs so that we can provide them with quality products and superior service.
- Principle #3: WashingtonFirst Bank has established procedures to ensure that our customers’ financial information is
accurate, current and complete, in keeping with reasonable commercial standards. We also pledge to respond to requests to correct
inaccurate information in a timely manner.
- Principle #4: WashingtonFirst Bank takes steps to safeguard customer information. We restrict access to your personal
and account information to those employees that need to know that information to provide products or services to you. We maintain
physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards that comply with federal standards to guard your nonpublic personal information.
Each WashingtonFirst Bank employee is required to follow our Company’s “code of conduct,” which states that all customer information
is considered private and privileged and is to be used solely for the purpose of providing you with the finest service available.
- Principle #5: We do not reveal specific information about customers’ accounts or other personally identifiable data to
parties outside our company unless: It is requested or authorized by that customer; The information is provided to help complete
a transaction initiated by our customers; The information is provided to a reputable credit bureau or similar information reporting
agency. We may report information about your account to credit bureaus. Late payments, missed payments, or other defaults on your
account may be reflected in your credit report; The disclosure otherwise is lawfully permitted or required.
- Principle #6: We do not provide account or personal information to non-WashingtonFirst Bank companies for the purpose of
independent telemarketing or direct mail marketing or any non-financial products or services of these companies. We do not disclose
any nonpublic personal information about our customers or former customers to anyone except as permitted by law.
- Principle #7: When we do provide customer information to a third party, we will insist – through a written agreement – that
the third party adhere to privacy principles similar to those which WashingtonFirst Bank adheres for keeping this information confidential.
- Principle #8: At WashingtonFirst Bank, we value our customer relationships. We want our customers to understand how we use
the information they provide and our commitment to ensuring our customers’ personal privacy. If our customers have any questions about
how WashingtonFirst Bank protects their confidential information, they may contact any WashingtonFirst Bank employee at the branch or
contact the Bank by using the Bank’s e-mail address or by contacting the Bank through our website.
